Poetry is a force that most don't seem to understand. While it can be said that our society survives under the guise of songs, spells, sermons, and slogans, you have to question the relativity of poetry. Today's symbolic language often has ulterior motives and marketing teams to move them, but not poetry. Poetry is a forefather of modern society and will likely be the last pillar standing in a world hell-bent on self-destruction. When newsrooms spread narratives and media is maniacal, who do you trust besides the poet? Amiri Baraka although no longer with us, is a poet whose words are meant to wake up the living dead. His poem Dope has been weighing on our minds for a while now and we'd like to use this shirt to help spread his prolific thinking.
